Merry Christmas from the Animal Kingdom and Downtown Disney Resorts

We had to start with Mickey and Minnie. They were hanging out at the Animal Kingdom Lodge along with these two characters.

The tree itself was impressive, as were the bell choir playing live music.

Coronado Springs is next on our tour. Here we see the lobby with a huge, magneficent tree, the smiling donkey (named something I'm sure Loosetoon will comment on), along with several very nice Christmas trees throughout the resort.

Pop Century was a disappointment. What more can I say? I was hoping for this grand tree with records and cassette tapes, CD's and iPods or something like that. No. No Rubix cubes, no large cell phones, no yo-yos. Disappointment.

What I was surprised with was the All-Stars. Considering they are value resorts, I didn't have high hopes. But, as you can see, their trees were magnificently themed and executed starting with Sports, then Music, and finally Movies. I like how they are tied together in look, but seperated by details and color. Sports is blue, Music is red, and Movies is yellow.

Let's take a look now at the Downtown Disney Resorts, namely Port Orleans and Saratoga Springs.

Port Orleans has both the French Quarter, decorated with the little New Orleans pictures, and Riverside with its flower decorations. I wish they had done more of a Mardi Gras style Christmas, but alas it was not to be.

Saratoga is the high-class themed horse resort. The tree definately reflects that. My sister's type of tree.

Hope you enjoyed the pictures of the resorts and the parks in their Christmas attire.

Merry Christmas!

  5. Really? Burrito? Wow. I had no idea but kinda thought you might! Frankly, you could have made it up and I'll trust it completely.
