The Anaheim Ducks Power Players.
Let's look to the west coast for today's girls as we count down to the Winnipeg Jets opening night.
We face a different problem than we did with the New Jersey Devil Dancers or the Nashville Predators Ice Girls and Dancers. The problem is that while there are some good shots of some of the girls, they haven't updated their page with any bios.
We do have a shot of the team for this upcoming season.
We can also expect to see something like this sometime in the very near future.
The bio pages should look something like this. One can hope.
These ladies had to audition for the part, as we can see in the video.
We can also see some pictures from the audition as well.
After the audition, they join the team. Here are some of the teams of the past.
How 'bout some pics of their work on the ice?
These girls also dress up all nice for the holidays. Halloween. Christmas. New Years Eve.
That Halloween picture reminds me, the Anaheim Ducks were once the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim.
Yes. Named after the Disney movie.
Why? Because Disney owned the team at the time, until they sold to Henry and Susan Samueli in 2005. Under new ownership, the team changed colors, changed logos, changed everything. And won the Stanley Cup.
But, seeing as we don't have a ton of pictures of the Anaheim Duck Power Players, let's take a trip back in time and look towards the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for inspiration on what pictures to look at. How about a visit with some classic Disney characters as portrayed by J. Scott Campbell?
Some of the girls he revisited.
Some of the tales have more than one character drawn for them.
But don't think he stops at just Disney girls. Any fairytale female is subject to his interpretation.
Again, some stories get a double dose of character re-imagination.
Not good enough because those are drawings? Fine. There's a solution for that.
There is a happy meeting between the two. There's a famous picture of the Disney Princesses acting silly, which was recreated by the costumers.
But if you want the legit Princesses of Anaheim, look towards the Anaheim Ducks Power Players.
quack. Quack. Quack! QUACK!
For the record, please don't do this during an actual NHL game. Or yell "Flying V!" It might be appropriate at Duck games -never been- but it is shunned elsewhere for certain.
