Los Angeles Kings Ice Crew

The Los Angeles Kings Ice Crew.

This is one of the most popular ice crews working in the NHL today. If you do a quick search for Ice Girls (just Ice Girls, not specifically LA King Ice Girls), you'll quickly discover this image.

And it's easy to see why the team is so popular.

The squad has yet to update their profile pictures for this upcoming season, but their bios from last year reveal some interesting facts.

First, Alyssa.

She claims she is very athletic and a defending State Champion in wrestling.

I know what you are thinking.

And that's wrong. High school wrestling is a growing sport for girls in Califonia.

And it's pretty fierce competition.

Next, we have Cassie.

A girl after my own heart. She says her favorite superhero is Buzz Lightyear.

I've never really considered Buzz a superhero, but I guess he is.

Gabby.

She can do this with her tongue.

Yep. She can tie a cherry stem into a knot. That could be totally awesome if the rumors are true.

Next, let's say hi to Natalie.

This girl likes Skittles.

She mentions them twice in her bio. She said one of her favorite foods is sour Skittles and one of her most embarrassing moments is when she was caught on the jumbotron eating Skittles and didn't know it.

There's no footage, but I really REALLY hope that she was just pigging out. Handfuls from a big bag or just dumping the bag in her mouth. That would be hilarious.

Finally, Nikki.

Nikki has excellent taste as she mentions her favorite food, Chipotle.

That is a little bit of heaven in a burrito right there.

The most shocking thing about these girls in their bios is their complete agreement on a particular question. They were all asked "What is the best pick-up line you have ever received?" Almost all of them had an answer that makes me sick.

-Did it hurt when you feel from heaven?
-Do you believe in love at first sight or do I have to walk by again?
-You must be a parking ticket because you have fine written all over you.

Seriously? That is what works in California? I have to assume all of the boyfriends of the LA Kings Ice Crew match this profile:

Turning back to the bios, the Ice Crew is co-ed. If you want to look up the guys, feel free. They have far less pictures, but you can download their wallpaper for a background. Here's an example:

Perhaps the team inter-dates amongst themselves. That guy looks like one of those that would say something like "I lost my phone number, can I have yours?"

Let's just get to the girls.

And they are not above showing some baseball love out on the ice.

Did you notice who the Ice Crew is sponsored by? It's written right there on the shovel.

That's Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm.

What, pray tell, is Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm?

"Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm will rejuvenate your old tattoos to look shiny, colorful and new, while protecting your new tattoo from sun damage, and accelerate the healing process. Try Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm and you will see the difference immediately and over time your tattoo will look fresh and new all day, everyday. Rocco's Old School Tattoo Balm is the best tattoo balm on the market and endorsed by hundreds of tattoo artist all over the world."

I never knew there was such a product.

As a general rule, I am not a big fan of tattoos. Just don't like them for whatever reason. Some are cheesy sayings.

Granted, that might have meaning to the person, but on pure aestitics, I'm anti words (for the most part). You're ruining a perfectly good foot.

Some are cool designs that seem to go well with the person wearing them. Those, I can kinda get behind.

And some are just scary.

Not cool man.

If I was to get one, I would get something this on my back.

The gates from the Haunted Mansion. That, I kinda like.

Moving on, I was intreguied by one of the girl's necklace.

That is a pretty cool Kings crown design.

Speaking of hockey bling, the Bruins recently released their Stanley Cup Championship rings. Here's a look at those and some of the others of recent past.

Nice, especially the Ducks' ring. Maybe the Ice Girls will get some new rocks to wear this season. But if their choice in men doesn't change, I can't fully support LA hoisting hockey's holy grail.
